Hey there!
My name is David Petrovych and I am an artist!
I am inspired by nature, my Ukrainian heritage, Hispanic culture, music, queer experiences, my religious upbringing, and many other things.
Although, I graduated with a B.S. in Marketing, I didn’t know I wasn’t suited for a desk job until I had one. Post-grad hit me like a brick through a window, and I don’t know if anything could have prepared me for it. That was in 2024, almost two years ago now.
Since then, I have decided to trade the energy-draining work of the office for work that pays less, but fortunately doesn’t cost me my sanity. And in the meantime, I am beginning to work through the mental and emotional matter which has been harboring inside of me for as long as I can remember.
I finally came out to my parents and decided, thanks to therapy, that it was time to cope differently.
Creating seemed to come as the natural alternative to what I had been doing. I guess I just never took it seriously; and it had been some time since I have devoted a respectful amount of time and energy towards it. What I really hope is- I hope that it has the power to change lives. Even if it’s just mine.
So now I turn to art to create, to heal, connect, address, remember, feel, interpret, unwind, and accept some truth about life. In all of its dark darks and light lights; as opposed to the saying,”the higher the highs, the lower the lows”.
While I am still crawling my way out of a metaphorical cave, I am hoping that I can begin to shamelessly share my journey with every piece I create, and reflect upon, in the blog section of this website.
In the blog, you can read a bit more from me to hear my voice behind every piece. While it is important to create art, I think it is just as important to write about it. Who knows, you might even connect with something! And isn’t that great?
Whether it is reflections, poetry, fun facts, special interest, or anything else, you can be sure to find a wide array of random bits of me all over there.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a bit, and I hope you take a moment to take a look at some of my work.

In peace / С миром,
David Petrovych
